Over 800 film lovers braved the frigid cold to greet leading actor and North Country alumnus, Viggo Mortensen, at the third annual Snowtown Film Festival, held this evening at the Dulles State Office Building in downtown Watertown, NY. Mr. Mortensen was on hand to present his 2016 feature film, CAPTAIN FANTASTIC, and take questions from the hometown crowd. Event organizers took the occasion to honor Mr. Mortensen with a North Country Inspiration to Artists Award for his dedication to the North Country, his contribution to film and his inspiration to fellow artists. KEEPERS OF THE GAME, a Tribeca film that tells an amazing North Country story, will close Snowtown Film Festival on Saturday, January 28th at 7:45pm with a screening and panel discussion with the women featured in the film.
Celebrated actor will present CAPTAIN FANTASTIC and take questions from the hometown crowd Watertown, NY – Viggo Mortensen will kick-off Snowtown Film Festival (STFF ) on Friday, January 27th with a screening and panel of his critically acclaimed 2016 film CAPTAIN FANTASTIC. The festival will open in downtown Watertown, NY at the Dulles State Office Building at 6:00pm with a “flannel-casual” red carpet reception and 7:00pm screening of the film.
